We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the project of construction of the new road bypass of Craiova, Romania’s sixth largest city in the east of the country.<\/em><\/p>\n

With this infrastructure project Rizzani de Eccher enters Romania\u2019s market, where our Group has been operating with the subsidiary company Spic specializing in manufacturing bridge decks, and aims to consolidate its position over the next years.<\/p>\n

The contract for Craiova\u2019s road bypass project, signed by Rizzani de Eccher with DRPD CNAIR ( Compania Nationala de Administrare a Infrastructurii Rutiere) on January 14th, 2022, concerns the construction of a 10,5km-long double-lane road with emergency areas, two viaducts, two fully-equipped parking lots, three roundabouts, consolidation works with the most advanced building techniques.
\nOverall contract\u2019s worth: 30 million euros.
\nScheduled starting works: H1 2022 Scheduled completion of works: within 15 months.<\/p>\n

The goal of Craiova\u2019s new bypass, a State-funded top priority project in the upgrading of Romania\u2019s road network, is to link the three important roads that connect Craiova to Calafat (DN 56), Bechet (DN 55) and Bucharest-Timisoara (DN5), an infrastructure that will help to decongest heavy traffic through central town and deliver a faster connection to the capital and the east of Romania.<\/p>\n
