The joint-venture between RIZZANI DE ECCHER SPA and AVAX SA has signed an agreement with LAMDA DEVELOPMENT www.Lamdadev.com (one of Greece largest development companies, listed on the Athens Stock Exchange under ticker LAMDA.AT) to provide pre-construction management services in the form of “Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)” for the development of the Vouliagmenis Mall Complex, the largest and most modern retail development in Greece and one of the largest in South Europe with a total built up area of nearly 420,000sqm.
The Vouliagmenis Mall Complex or VMC is set at the heart of “Ellinikon”https://theellinikon.com.gr/en/home/ , which is the largest ever urban regeneration investment in Greece with a total area of 6.2 km² and total investments (executed or planned) of €8bn on a prime seafront location on the site of the former Athens airport in Glyfada.
The project consists of the regeneration of the disused airport site into an all-rounded destination and it is composed of several clusters, each one with a distinct character, combining residences, shopping, working, leisure, entertainment and cultural activities, revolving around a 2,000,000 sq.m park, the largest coastal park in Europe, in the heart of Athens.
The service provider and contractor is the joint venture between RIZZANI DE ECCHER www.rde.it and AVAX www.avax.gr, ie. The successful partnership between one of the leading contractors in Italy, with extensive global experience in building projects, many of which have been developed using the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) method, and one of the leading Greek contractors in the field of infrastructure and buildings construction.
Under the leadership of RIZZANI DE ECCHER, the joint-venture will offer pre-construction management services in the form of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) to LAMDA, in the context of the preparation for the construction of the Vouliagmenis Mall Complex, with focus on constructability, design optimizations, planning, procurement, logistics, and general construction management.
The main construction works for the development of the Vouliagmenis Mall Complex will commence in H1 2024, while the excavation works will commence in H2 2023.
