Description
Turnkey design and construction of barracks, service buildings, and land infrastructure of the new Italian Navy’s base in Taranto.
There are 12 cast-in-place reinforced buildings and 15 prefabricated ones on the base.
Moreover, two purification plants (in the north and south zones) were constructed; all the mep works, including natural gas and fuel oil lines, were installed; new green areas and landscaping with over 650 trees were planted during construction.
The site, located in a constrained shore area, was subject to environment protection laws and regulations, in particular concerning waste disposal, fuel transportation and storage, and traffic control.
