Description
The design philosophy behind the construction of the new five-star hotel aimed to reflect the cultural, architectural, and geographic context of the surroundings. The UK design bureau Reardon Smith Architects drew inspiration from late 19th century French architectural influence and Ottoman and Islamic styles that met in the architecture of the capital.
Structural integrity was a major consideration during construction as the area is part of the active earthquake belt.
The top floor area covered with a glass dome accommodates a spa complex, offering 180-degree views across the capital and over the Caspian Sea.
