OVERVIEW

This complex consists of the Nuove Terme, the SPA & Wellness Center of Merano, and of the Steigenberger Hotel in Merano, along the south bank of the River Passirio.

Constructed in three years of fast-paced activities, the project is characterized by the complexity of the structural design as a result of the originality of the architectural layout, designed by Matteo Thun.
The complex was built with extremely modern energy-saving and environmentally sensitive techniques: low-temperature heating, two wells that enable a saving of 8 million litres of water a year, a co-generation system for producing electricity and exploiting at the same time the energy produced; the excess thermal energy from the co-generation is used to cool the rooms.

The four-star deluxe hotel has 113 standard rooms, 26 suites, two restaurants, a bar, an internal garden and terraces, three conference rooms, a library, a ballroom, and a private spa & wellness complex.
