Description
The Museion project presented by Rizzani de Eccher was chosen by the Province of Bolzano among nearly 300 competing submissions.
It includes the main building – a rectangular parallelepiped of 54 by 25 meters in base and 27 meters in height – and a second small building that houses studios and design rooms for artists.
The head facades of the main building are among the most striking elements: they are designed in a manner that seems to ‘dig’ a pyramid trunk from the parallelepiped, with its base on the facade itself, and they are entirely made of glass with double ‘skin’.
In the space between the two skins orientable strips were placed, which allow for the seamless variation of transparency and internal lighting.
